This is sooooo much better than using one of those 60ml plastic tipped disposable syringes to administer oral medications to horses. With those, you have to get the whole syringe, including the fat part, into their mouths, which leaves their mouths open enough to let the medication fall back out unless you crank their heads up in the air. And it is not unheard of for certain smartie pants to learn to bite those plastic tips to keep the medicine in. This syringe has a long skinny metal tip that is angled just right for you to squeeze it through their bars and into their mouths without drama. And the metal tip discorages chewing. I wish I had known about this back when I was treating my horse for ulcers with 9 different treatments per day! This should be a staple in every barn first aid kit. The larger capacity makes it easy to mix up a solution that is more palatable to the horse. My favorite is ground pills plus ground peppermints dissolved in a warm corn syrup and water solution.

I purchased this item to wash the mouth of my older horse. With age has come difficulty chewing efficiently with hay getting stuck behind the back teeth. This is just like what your vet uses to wash your horse's mouth out before floating. The angled end helps in the flushing. Does the job.
